Port Townsend

Step back in time!
In 1899 an enterprising sea captain names John Tibbals built what came to be known as the "Palace of Sweets" home to some of Port Townsend's more colorful residents. Today this former saloon and billiard parlor has been transformed into a beautifully restored Victorian hotel that belies its wild and lavish past. The Palace Hotel overlooks the bay in historic Port Townsend and is just a short two-block walk from the Whidbey Island ferry terminal. Port Townsend is home to art galleries, fine shops, and Fort Worden, site of the filming of "An Officer and a Gentleman".

The Palace Hotel has just 17 rooms, each uniquely furnished in a different Victorian theme with antiques and collectibles, and some have kitchens, fireplaces, and whirlpool tubs. Enjoy complimentary continental breakfast with fresh pastries and fruit delivered to your room. Reserve our elegant conference room for your next private dinner, intimate wedding or corporate meeting.

Retreat to days gone by ...
